... a television movie in honour of civil rights activist Rosa Parks premiered in 2002. Rosa refused to surrender her bus seat to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955, thus sparking the Montgomery Boycott and other efforts to end segregation. The telemovie was titled, "Ride to Freedom: The Rosa Parks Story". Today, February 4, was her birthday :)
